DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Psychological Services Specialist, you communicate psychological information about patients to professional and non-professional staff to ensure that appropriate treatment and discharge plans can be formulated.

Duties include providing psychological profiles of patients to the treatment team by completing psychological evaluations as needed to ensure that treatment team decisions and goals for patients are objectively based. You maintain current psychological assessments on identified patients by completing routine screening assessments within ten working days of admission and by reviewing the assessments at least annually. This provides the psychological data necessary prior to the development of each patient's treatment plan. In addition, you apply psychological principles of intervention in direct care treatment and rehabilitation of patients by scheduled individual and/or group work, by intervening in crisis situations, and by unscheduled counseling sessions to ensure that patient development is promoted.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday to Monday (Tuesday & Wednesday are regular days off); with 30-minute lunch. A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three (3) months of graduating with a qualifying degree. Other Requirements:
