Senior Global Procurement Director This individual will lead the procurement function, processes, and personnel for the entire business. He/she is responsible for developing a strategic approach to managing Momentive Technologies' procurement activities for all direct and indirect materials, capital equipment purchases, corporate services, utilities, and MRO spend. The Sr. Global Procurement Director develops and communicates procurement strategic plans to meet key business objectives, sets goals for and provides direction to procurement team members, oversees the development of the procurement organization, manages relationships with suppliers, and communicates progress on procurement initiatives to the business units. Responsibilities Manage Global procurement projects of large scope and drive commodity managers and procurement specialists towards strategy and cost savings opportunities aimed at achieving strategic business objectives. Establish commodity strategies for key raw materials and manage/track their implementation to desired results. Oversee annual global spend in excess of $140MM and negotiate supply contracts and long-term agreements for key commodities and raw materials with major suppliers, driving towards most favorite terms for Momentive. Actively coach team members and assist in developing talent in the procurement organization. Drive continuous improvement to procurement policies and procedures to align with the respective Business Unit strategies and share procurement best practices in value creation and supplier governance. Identify best-in-class solutions and processes and quantify efficiency and organizational effectiveness. Improve supplier performance and engagement through proactive communications, strategic collaboration, and relationship building to increase the opportunity to add value in the form of productivity and supplier performance. Establish and continuously develop comprehensive metrics (supplier scorecards) with strategic suppliers. Monitor and measure supplier performance against defined Service Levels (SLA), quality, on-time delivery (OTD), and cost improvement targets. Meet with departmental end-users and suppliers regularly to reinforce contract expectations and maintain good supplier relations. Demonstrate compliance of defined spend control measures through internal audits (Management Self-Assessments) and external audits. Provide data/information as requested. Drive continuous improvement and corrective actions to identified or potential process gaps. Conduct supplier visits to evaluate performance, develop suppliers, and maintain constructive business relationships. Ensure availability of materials supply from suppliers; establishes dual/alternate sourcing for key commodities where opportunity exists to ensure security of supply and mitigate supply disruption risks.
