Chemours is seeking an OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing Cyber & Information Security team. This position will report directly to the Cybersecurity Manager at our Wilmington, DE location.

We are actively seeking a seasoned OT Cybersecurity Engineer with a strong focus on both cybersecurity engineering and process control engineering within the manufacturing sector. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the protection of our Operational Technology (OT) systems, particularly those integral to process control in manufacturing environments.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust cybersecurity strategies tailored to protect Operational Technology (OT) systems, with a specific focus on process control engineering within manufacturing environments.

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of process control systems, identifying potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and devising targeted mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, IT specialists, and manufacturing operators, to integrate cybersecurity best practices seamlessly into existing processes and workflows.

  • Engineer and deploy customized security solutions optimized for process control environments, ensuring minimal disruption to operational efficiency while maximizing protection against cyber threats.

  • Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and regulatory requirements impacting OT cybersecurity in manufacturing, and actively incorporate relevant insights into defensive strategies.

  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to support ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity posture of manufacturing operations.

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and industry partners, to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations governing manufacturing operations.

  • Continuously assess and refine cybersecurity processes and protocols, leveraging insights from incident response activities and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity resilience.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or in a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Operational Technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS).

  • Familiarity with relevant cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, and ANSI/ISA-95.

  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing in OT environments.

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, or ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in real-time.

  • Prior experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry or similar process-intensive environments is a plus.

  • Ability to train IT and OT Resources on OT Cybersecurity best practices.

$93,184.00 - $145,600.00
