Dollar Bank FSB Special Loans Processor in Canton, Ohio

The Special Loans Processor is responsible for performing all duties and functions required within the Special Loans Department. Departmental duties include, but are not limited to: servicing of adjustable rate mortgages and consumer loans, including sending required initial and subsequent rate adjustment notices, ensuring accuracy of adjustable rate changes, and updating indexes. Departmental duties also include: processing of retention and hardship modifications, escrow modifications, title transfers, partial releases, recasts, successor in interest processing, assumptions, and oil and gas lease requests. The department interacts directly with customers and backs up the customer service department when conditions warrant. The processor must have a working knowledge of the Banks different products, procedures, investor and bank guidelines.


*High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred in a business related field

*Minimum of 6 months prior customer service experience (retail or office) with direct customer contact required

*Mortgage Servicing or Banking experience preferred

*Knowledge of loan documents preferred

*Must be able to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and coordinate multiple and changing priorities in a demanding environment

*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team setting is required

*Must have excellent telephone, written, and verbal communication skills

*Must have strong propensity for detail, accuracy, and confidentiality

*Must have excellent mathematical (amortizations, rate and payment calculations) and analytical skills

*Must be professional and courteous with internal and external customers

*Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Principal Activities/Objectives:

*Receive, process, and respond to all requests for loan modifications.

*Prepare the required documents and forward to the mortgagors or other designated party for execution and maintenance the system accordingly.

*Provide excellent customer service by promptly and courteously answering incoming phone calls, keeping clients informed throughout the process and responding in a timely manner.

*May handle all front desk duties for the servicing center which includes opening the door for the delivery men or visitors, logging all overnights and calling the responsible department.

*Maintain and update various reports in an accurate and efficient manner.

*Comply with all investor and regulatory requirements as well as the banks policies and procedures.

*Required to be fully competent in any capacity or function within the Special Loans Department.

*The position serves as a backup to the Customer Service Department when conditions warrant.

*Ensure accuracy of adjustable rate mortgage changes for both mortgage and consumer loans and provide required regulatory notifications to borrowers in required timeframes.

*Responsible for performing escrow projections and system maintenance for adjustable rate and escrow lines for hardship modifications.

*Must be able to work overtime as needed
